If you are unable to work for more than 26 weeks due to a non-work-related illness or injury, and you're approved by New York Life, you will receive up to 60% of your monthly base salary up to a maximum monthly benefit of $15,000 USD. LTD benefits continue for the length of your disability. If approved, the maximum period you are eligible to receive benefits for is the later of your Normal Retirement Age or the Maximum Benefit period listed below.
Onshore employees are enrolled in LTD on their date of hire or their official date of transfer. Offshore employees are enrolled in LTD after completing 180 days of eligible employment.
Transocean pays the full cost of LTD premiums.
